But here's where it gets controversial... Fernández's decline in offensive production is a significant concern. He's not known for his speed on the basepaths, and as a corner outfielder, his defensive skills aren't considered exceptional. His best chance to contribute lies in his ability to hit the ball hard. It seems the new regime wasn't convinced Fernández could turn things around.
